A spectacular reception at Martinsell House, the private Barossa Valley residence of the bride’s grandmother followed the marriage of Georgina Downer and William Heath. Georgina, eldest daughter of Alexander and Nikki Downer was accompanied by maid of honour Sophie, her 2 bridesmaids sisters Olivia and Henrietta and little flower girl, Daisy. William’s best man was brother in law Kevin, with groomsmen Andrew and Hugh.

Georgina and William met in 2000 at university whilst studying Law in Melbourne. Last year on his 30th birthday, William whisked Georgina away to picturesque Daylesford in Victoria, where he knelt on one knee with an antique art deco diamond ring and proposed. For the Downer family, there has always been a strong family connection with the Barossa and they wanted to share its beauty with their closest family and friends on their wonderful wedding day.

We have lived interstate and overseas and have made many friends all over the world... it was really special to have everyone we love together in such a beautiful setting as the Barossa Valley to share our special day.

After the ceremony...relaxing in the car...being able to spend some time alone together, sipping French champagne and enjoying one another.
