After meeting at high school, Maria d’Aloia and Jarrid Corbell were married at Jacobs Creek Retreat. Maria was accompanied by her bridesmaids Lucy, Angela, Tayla and flower girls Sophie and Stephanie. Jarrid was assisted by groomsmen Jeff, Shannon and Regan and page boys Matthew, Henry, William and Luke.

Originally both from South Australia, Maria moved to Queensland to be with her soul mate. Last year Jarrid took Maria on a hike to the fabulous rainforest of the Finch Hatton Gorge where, situated by a wonderful waterfall, he surprised his bride-to-be with a wedding proposal amongst the beautiful lowland palm-rivine.

They had always wanted to be married back in their home state where their families still remained, however it was their love for the country and wineries that made their decision to celebrate one of the most important days of their lives with their loved ones in the Barossa Valley.

The ceremony. Breaking with tradition, Maria was given away by both parents.

We had a great time dancing and mingling with friends and family once all the formalities and wedding photo shoot were over, said Maria.
